yellowdog Posted August 29, 2010 Report Posted August 29, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding :) Best guess would be Sheraton Gunter. Please use the site's HOTWIRE link, and let us know how it goes or if you need any additional help with your stay.Yellowdog.PS. Please follow-up this thread with whatever you end up doing, even if you chose to book direct, cancell your trip, etc.
delopez3 Posted August 29, 2010 Author Report Posted August 29, 2010 Quick question, at the Gunter is it kinda of a sure bet that I will get a Queen bed instead of a King by using bidding?ThanksDee
AaronJB Posted August 29, 2010 Report Posted August 29, 2010 In general, there is no guarantee in terms of bedding when using PRICELINE or HOTWIRE. You can make a request with the hotel in terms of bedding, but it's up to the hotel. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
delopez3 Posted August 30, 2010 Author Report Posted August 30, 2010 Well, I did a bid for $79.00 in the Riverwalk Area for October 3-5 and got Marriott Plaza San Antonio. I can't say I am happy. Don't really think this a 4* hotel but I guess it is said and done. I looke at the price on the actual site and the going rate was $179/night so I can't complain about that.Dee
delopez3 Posted August 30, 2010 Author Report Posted August 30, 2010 Decided to do Priceline instead and I think I got the short end of the stick. Got Marriot Plaza San Antonio, would have much rather gotten the Gunter. Oh well, won't keep me from doing it again, lol.I did post about my bid on the PRICELINE link.Dee
yellowdog Posted August 30, 2010 Report Posted August 30, 2010 delopez3Thank you for sharing your win with the board and using our PRICELINE link to begin your bidding :) We hope you'll like the hotel even if not your preferred one.Enjoy your stay.Yellowdog.
