Priceline Hotel: Resort Phoenix (Scottsdale) Scottsdale Resort and Conference Center

I've used this board to help me save money enough times that I thought I would finally post my results. I'll try to do this more often now. I also use your links.

Wanted a weekend Staycation in the Phoenix area so I did the following bids. This is all for September 10 to September 12.

Carefree, 5 Star, $55. I was aiming for the Carefree Resort and Villas which I would get on their website at $89. This was rejected.

I ADDED North Scottsdale and "Resorts" to the bid but reduced the $ to $40/night. I figured I would get the Scottsdale Resort & Conference Center, which had rooms on their website at $69/night and on HOTWIRE at $59/night. REJECTED.

I ADDED North Phoenix and increased the bid to $45/night. REJECTED.

I added Scottsdale and increased the bid to $50/night. I was accepted at the Scottsdale Resort & Conference Center in N Scottsdale.

So, in summary, I got the room for $50/night, I knew I could've gotten it on Hotwire at $59/night, and the website was $69/night. I saved $19/night by using PRICELINE which will approximately pay for my resort fees.

Without this site I would be blind on PRICELINE and HOTWIRE, my hats off to the ingenuity.
