Gulliver1 Posted August 26, 2010 Report Posted August 26, 2010 Hi,we would like to stay in London for 10 days in September and we are looking for a hotel with breakfast included. Is there a possibility to make sure that we will get a hotel with breakfast included when we bid on Priceline? Thanks!
AaronJB Posted August 26, 2010 Report Posted August 26, 2010 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Unfortunately, there is no way to ensure a particular amenity when bidding on PRICELINE. I would suggest looking on HOTWIRE and looking for a listing with a free breakfast icon to ensure that breakfast is offered. What are the exact date/s of travel? Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
Gulliver1 Posted August 26, 2010 Author Report Posted August 26, 2010 Hello, thanks for your help. We will arrive on September the 2nd and will leave on 12th. :)
AaronJB Posted August 26, 2010 Report Posted August 26, 2010 Happy to help! :)When you search on HOTWIRE.com for London for these dates, are any listings showing with a free breakfast icon?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
bkcarolina Posted August 27, 2010 Report Posted August 27, 2010 IMHO, if you bid 2.5 or 3 stars on priceline for fairly low prices, good chance you will get a Holiday Inn Express and good chance breakfast will be included.
Gulliver1 Posted August 27, 2010 Author Report Posted August 27, 2010 There are a few hotels with BF incl. on Hotwire but they are more outside or a little bit expensive (e.g. a **-hotel in Westminster for 140$). I think we have to decide if we would like to book a better hotel which mostly haven't Breakfast incl. or a 2* or 3** hotel with Breakfast.

yellowdog Posted August 27, 2010 Report Posted August 27, 2010 Gulliver1I think it sounds very unsafe using PRICELINE if breakfast is a must. 3* for Regents park is far from breakfast.Go with HOTWIRE.Let us know how we can help you further. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Yellowdog.
thereuare Posted August 28, 2010 Report Posted August 28, 2010 I agree that PRICELINE is a bit too risky if you're looking to ensure included breakfast... and i wouldn't recommend bidding less than 3* in Europe, where star ratings are a bit more generous then the equivalent properties in the US/North America. Even if the hotel offers breakfast, you may not like other aspects of the property :)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
