Hotwire Hotel: 4* DC (Arlington) Hotel Palomar

I've been watching the 4* (and bidding on Priceline) but today noticed a 3* Arlington that looks unfamiliar.

Amenities are: Pool, restaurant, business center, high speed internet. That doesn't seem to match any of the usual suspects.

Any thoughts? Thanks.

Unfortunately this property has not yet been been reported to the board and these amenities are very common to the area that i don't think we'll be able to add any insight based upon the amenities shown.

However, unless you have reason to be in this area (and as i suspect are using it as an alternative to staying directly in DC) i'd look at the 3* in Dupont Circle... it's just $15 more per nite and would put you directly in the city.

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.

Let us know whatever you decide to do for this stay or if we can be of further help.

Thanks for the help. I do like Dupont Circle and have stayed there 2-3 times but I lived in Arlington for several years and usually stay there when I go back... if I can guarantee metro proximity. HOTWIRE has the 4* Westin at $172 and I've been bidding on PRICELINE (using the links from here) for 4* in Arlington which I'm guessing will get the Westin or the Hyatt (stayed at both before and I'm ok with them) since Palomar looks to be very full/expensive for those days (would like to stay there). Any of those 3 would be fine even up to $172. I would prefer under $150 and thus far I've only bid up to $130.

I won't chance the 3* if I can't identify it since there are too many that lack metro proximity. I'll post final results when I have them. Thanks again.

I had been bidding on PRICELINE for a slightly different timeframe, without success up to $130, for Arlington 4*. Westin had been popping up for $172 to $176 including a busier weekday night. I've stayed at the Hyatt and the Westin before but not the Palomar (which I wanted to try) so when this popped up at $122, I grabbed it.

Our stay is for 2 rooms, 4 adults/2 kids. I didn't bid on PRICELINE for this exact date match so I can't provide input on failed bids that match exactly.

...and, of course, I used the HOTWIRE links above. :)

Congratulations on your success!

Glad to see you landed a great deal on a hotel you were looking to try... and even lower in price then the previous offers for other properties.

Can you please add a reply to this thread with the amenities shown before your purchase... you can still view this information by going to HOTWIRE and clicking the MY ACCOUNT link near the top right of their home page.

Thank you for sharing your results and using the HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchase.

Enjoy your stay.

Great point. The amenities matched the pinned list from this board:

4* Arlington hotel Smoke-Free, Fitness, Restaurant, Business, Internet, Spa.

Thanks again to this board-- without it I wouldn't be able to identify properties to avoid "bidding blindly".
