Priceline Hotel: 4* Hong Kong (Tsuen Wan) Panda Hotel

Tried my luck at bidding on priceline... rejected at up to $64 - tried $67 while adding "Tsuen Wan". There were no hotels for Tsuen Wan posted on priceline (when I checked) so I figured it was a free bid.

Somehow, I ended up with the Panda Hotel in Tsuen Wan (which isn't listed on priceline, but is listed as 3* on Expedia, Hotels.com, tripadvisor.)

Very disappointed as I had expected a 4* hotel (hope the hotel doesn't look as awful as the photos posted on Tripadvisor!)

If I had booked directly with Panda Hotel, it's $62 US - on Expedia it's $65 for my dates.

Bidders beware - I called them regarding the fact that the hotel is not 4* and they refused to do anything and rudely told me to write their VP if I'm not satisfied.

Sorry to see that you don't like the outcome.

This zone indicates 4* bidding so you should never used it. And you should never compare the retail section with the bidding section since they use diffrent hotels and zones. I understand that this is not easy to know. So i understand that PRICELINE didn't help you here. But i don't get why they are rude to you :)

PRICELINE is difficult to understand when you're new to it. But you found a good place to learn about it :)

Quick question - I can't seem to find this zone at all on their map or on their dropdown... in fact, this hotel doesn't even come up when I try searching for the name. Am I doing something wrong?

If you're seeing a cheaper rate, I would contact PRICELINE regarding the best price guarantee (see link).
