Priceline Hotel: 5* Las Vegas (Strip North) Palazzo

Hi,

I have been using the BB PRICELINE to bid for a stay on the Strip (North or South) but so far have been unsuccessful. Can you please help me assess the likely price point range for a stay 9/10-9/12 (check in Friday and check out Sunday) in a 4* hotel.

So far my unsuccessful bids on PRICELINE have been the following:

5* Strip North up to $99

4* Strip North or South up to $79

You can use free-rebids.. which means that if you are bidding for 5* and it got unsuccessful, you can select other zones that do not have 5* and increase your bid. I would also look for Hotwire for options..

Thanks. Just to clarify, the two bids I mentioned above are the max bids that I was willing to make after taking advantage of re-bidding options. My issue is not rebidding but creating pricing transparency to understand better at what price to bid.

Based upon the rates I'm seeing, I think you're probably looking at between $120-135 for a 5* in the North Strip.

Under $100 for weekend nites at a 5* hotel on the strip is not something that would typically be enough (your 4* bid may not be realistic either)

At the 4* level is the Westin an acceptable outcome? It's in PRICELINE's strip zone but located slightly off the strip.

I ended up opting for a 5* hotel because I was afraid of getting certain 4* on the strip.

After using BB's PRICELINE link, I managed to get the 5* Palazzo (Strip North) for $130 for a 9/10/12-9/12/10 stay. I started my bidding at 100 and increased by $5 increments. At $120, PRICELINE offered me to increase my bid to $150 and obtain what I wanted so I knew I was close to the winning price point.
