kwong Posted August 25, 2010 Report Posted August 25, 2010 Apparently there are many 4*'s in that area. Any experience to share? Thanks.
AaronJB Posted August 25, 2010 Report Posted August 25, 2010 What would be your desired max budget per night?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
kwong Posted August 25, 2010 Author Report Posted August 25, 2010 I saw people having $130... I guess for me I would like to have <$200 with all the tax and stuff...I am not very familiar with other hotels in the area, just looking for a decent and clean 4* and closer to Central Park.Maybe you have better suggestions?Upper west side has the 4* Empire Hotel, but the reviews seemed poor.
thereuare Posted August 26, 2010 Report Posted August 26, 2010 If you include other midtown zone(s) such as MTW, TS, ESB, CPS you won't likely be more than a 10-15 minute subway to Central Park. Since adding additional zones would increase the number of hotels able to accept your bid, and hopefully the lowest price possible, is it worth more money for you to stay in the MTE zone? With the above noted, at current rates i think you're budget is not going t be enough for a 4* hotel in any of the midtown zones, but let us know if you're willing to accept other zones, we'll then suggest a strategy for whatever you decide and try up to your limit... if rejected we'll then discuss additional options. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
