Thanks Almimi! Your information was very helpful. I used a similar bidding pattern and got the Delta Chelsea for 8/28 to 8/29 for $80 as well. I then added 8/27 to 8/28 (FRiday to Saturday) for the same price!

Great hotel and great location in my favorite weekend destination.

Hey, I tried to get the same deal, but $80 didn't work for me.

Got it for $90 though. Didn't have the time to try for anything in between - if it had failed, I would have been stuck booking the "old fashioned" way via a hotel's website.
