TravelJunkie305 Posted August 24, 2010 Report Posted August 24, 2010 Hi i booked a hotel on HOTWIRE.com for 9/23-9/25 for 8$ a night yes that's right. The hotel is Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham in Orlando Airport. I really wanted from 9/22- 9/25 but i couldn't get the same deal with those dates so i booked the 2 days i mentioned. I decided to check the rates on Hawthorns suites website. To my surprise they had it for 8$ also, so i booked my extra night 9/22-9/23. Today a Hawthorns manager gives me a call telling me they cant give me that rate and they will give me a discounted rate of 55$ for that night. I have confirmed my booking and everything has been paid. So im wondering can they just change their rate on me and deny my booked hotel even tho Ive paid and have a confirmation? Please help me out here with some legal advice, it makes me very mad they're trying to go back on their word.

TravelJunkie305 Posted December 2, 2010 Author Report Posted December 2, 2010 Upon arriving at Hawthorn Suites I was told I wouldn't be able to stay there unless I payed an additional charge which would total about $45+ a night. I refused to pay this amount being that I had already made a reservation through Hotwire, so I proceeded to contact Hotwire in order to resolve this matter. Once I contacted Hotwire, I was instructed by representative to go back inside Hawthorn and that I would be given the keys to my room, the problem had been resolved. I was able to stay the 2 nights for the $8 per night, the original amount I had payed through Hotwire. I would rate the room 3.5 stars. It had a nice sized room, living room and kitchen area, and nice sized bathroom. The decorations were a little too bland for my taste. The location was not the best since it was about 10 miles from the theme parks. I don't think I will be staying at this hotel again. It could be a good option for someone traveling for business and needs a place to stay near the airport.
