thereuare Posted August 24, 2010 Report Posted August 24, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding! Please start by reading your messages... there are only one 3* Hotel in Long Island City - The Holiday Inn LIC Manhattan ViewNot really... if you read the comments at the top of the Priceline Hotel List, this may be the only 3* hotel reported to the board in this zone, but there could be others, and you could be the first to report a new property in this zone.Place a bid on TS - MTE - MTW as a rebid zone, well, anyware in Manhatton below Central Park - willing to spend moreWhether you try for a hotel in NYC vs. Long Island City really depends upon your budget, what type of experience you're looking for from your hotel stay and trip.Obviously Long Island City will be cheaper... but NYC would be more convenient, give you more flexibility in your day/plans, and avoid a commute to/from your hotel (also if you stay out very late some aren't comfortabel riding the subways late at nite and you need to budget for a taxi from Manhattan to Long Island City), and by staying outside of the city you lose some of the "buzz" that makes NYC what it is.If you let us know your desired star rating and exected budget we can perhaps add some insight if Manhattan is a feasible option (i haven't looked at your dates at all but this year many are finding that NYC is much more expensive then they had planned)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know your thoughts on the board and/or how we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
