coloradobidder Posted August 23, 2010 Report Posted August 23, 2010 Amenities: Resort, Fully-Equipped Kitchen, Air Conditioning, Boutique Hotel, 24-Hour Front Desk, Near Beach, Smoke Free Rooms, In-Room Laundry, 2-Bedroom Suite, Daily Housekeeping, Pool(s), Golf NearbyJust got back from a Mexico vacation and made this HOTWIRE bid while we were there. Used the HOTWIRE link here to do it. This place was very nice - a HUGE 2 bedroom condo with marble floors and granit counter kitchen and a gigantic swimming pool. However, it did not have the amenities advertised on Hotwire. For example, there was not a 24-hour front desk. It is called a Resort, but there was no on-site restaurant or room service. There was not even shampoo provided. This is basically an upscale condo development and the units are all individually owned. When the owners are not in town the condo complex rents out the units on behalf of the owners. We were fortunate to get a nice unit but this is not a hotel and does not have hotel services. Is there any recourse with HOTWIRE? The place is quite nice but not as advertised.
thereuare Posted August 24, 2010 Report Posted August 24, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding!Thank you for sharing your results with the board and helping us add this property to the Hotwire Hotel List.I would contact HOTWIRE regarding the property not having all the amenities advertised, they will likely call the hotel and/or otherwise look into it and call you back. At the very least they should update the amenities to reflect what is offered, saving a future user any issues, but if they find the services are not as described they will often offer some form of compensation (such as hot Dollars to use on a future purchase)Thank you for sharing your results and using the HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchase. While not as advertised, at least it appears you enjoyed the stay for the price paid. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
HowardDuPuis Posted September 14, 2010 Report Posted September 14, 2010 Do you remember the unit number you had? Were you happy with it? Did you feel you were given the same quality of unit as everyone else? Thanks!
