Initially bid $35 for a 3* in the Vancouver, WA zone, which was rejected with a counter offer to add $10. I rebid $37 after adding 2.5* (still just the Vancouver, WA zone). I expected to get bumped up to 3* if accepted, but instead the bid was accepted by 2.5* Springhill Suites. It is possible this hotel could have been won for less if I had started bidding at 2.5*.
