Priceline Hotel: Ft Lauderdale pre-cruise 11/17

I'm new to betterbidding and have only used PRICELINE once. I'm looking for a hotel (hopefully Hyatt Place North downtown) in Fort Lauderdale downtown on 11/17 and 11/28. These are nights immediately before and after a cruise. Hotwire price for 11/28 is great ($59 for the area I'm looking in and from my research it appears it would be the HP downtown), but 11/17 Hotwire was $189. I read the bidding strategy from Priceline that betterbidding admin. referenced, but it was dated in 2003. I'm wondering if it still works. I'm tryingn now to use PL to bid and then re-bid if rejected so I can get 2 bids in a day. But I need to find out how to determine which areas near Fort Lauderdale have NO 3 star hotels in them so I can expand my zone for my rebid but still be sure that I won't get a hotel out of my preferred zone (Fort Lauderdale downtown). My research indicates that in PL, 3 stars in Fort Lauderdale downtown has been yielding HP North downtown which I want. How can I see in PL how many hotels are in another zone rated 3 stars or better? I couldn't figure how to do this.

I'll also remind that with PRICELINE you can receive a hotel anywhere within the shaded boundary of the zone, so if you're seeing what you believe to be the Hyatt Place you want on HOTWIRE at a very good rate, you might want to take it there to increase the chances of receiving the property you want.
