Priceline Hotel: 4* Toronto (Downtown South) Thompson

I had been trying to find something in TO for the week of 9/19 to 9/26 under $100/night but no luck. :) I tried for about a week but then finally gave up trying to stay under $100/night and decided to keep increasing my bid until I won something. Honestly, I was hoping for the Westin, but I think I'll be equally as happy with the Thompson. I like the fact that it's brand new. I won it for $120/night for seven nights, for a grand total of $975 after taxes + fees. I'm wondering if something is going on during that week in TO, because all of the 4* hotels seem higher than normal (even for Priceline). I know that the Sheraton is completely sold out. Thoughts?

My guess is that there may be something going on during all or part of these dates driving up the rates. This is an excellent deal though for this new boutique property from the Thompson chain.
