Banjo Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 I'm planning a trip to Washington to see my Lyme disease Doctor that moved form NC to DC and really need some help on planning this trip. I've used Hotwire three times and wa very Happy with 2 of the three Hotels. I've never bid on a Hotel. There are three adults and we are going to take the train from Cary NC to Union Station. My Doctor Office is located at .3 of a mile form One Washington circle Hotel. We are only staying 3 nights and they have nothing available. I've only been to Washington once many years ago. I would like to stay somewhere that we can tour the city and get to my appointment easily and to the hotel form Union Station. My sister is going with me and she has never been to Washington so I wanted this trip to be special for her. Any help and advise on how to start would be great. Thanks.

44disney Posted August 24, 2010 Report Posted August 24, 2010 Banjo, one thing to consider is transportation. I take it that you weren't renting or bringing a car.Coming into Union Station by train, you have access to the metro (subway) right there. If you are willing and able to use the metro, it opens up more options for where you can stay. Some people prefer to avoid the metro, in which case it can be a bit more limiting (or, with taxi, more expensive). Good luck.
Banjo Posted August 24, 2010 Author Report Posted August 24, 2010 We won't have a car so we'll need transportation from Union Station to the Hotel and to the Dr.'s office. . I saw a 4 star Arlington hotel with a pool for 165 that is within 1-5 miles of my Dr.'s office which is located at 2440 main Street NW. Do you have an idea of which Hotel this might be/Thanks for your reply.
AaronJB Posted August 25, 2010 Report Posted August 25, 2010 Keep in mind that the distances shown on HOTWIRE are from the center of the zone. kethrinelopez Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 There are a variety of hiking trails leading to mountain peaks, ocean beaches, rain forests and waterfalls. We own the Five SeaSuns B&B here in Port Angeles and our guests that only allow a day, always regret it. Two days won't allow enough time to see it all, but will convince that you'll need to return for more.
