Hotwire downgraded reservation after confirmation

Back in June I made a reservation for a 3-day resort stay for Labor day Weekend for $99 / night. I got an email this morning indicating that they could no longer give me the deluxe condo with the Kitchen and larger layout. Instead they could honor my reservation for the roomwithout the kitchen and smaller floorplan. In exchange they offered $25% refund in hotwire bucks.

I called them and complained that $25/day doesn't compensate for the smaller room and the fact that we'll have to eat all of our meals out. They bumped the payout up from $84 to $100, but that is it. Basically I argued that I just want the bigger room. My other two options which are to cancel and go elsewhere would cost me an arm and a leg at this point in the game, and if I take the room and the $100 offer it'll end up costing me more than that in the cost of eating out each day.

I'm not sure what options I have at this point. Maybe somebody out there has been thru this and has experience they could share.

I'd take a similar room at another comparable resort or some other compensation option, but it seems like they are getting off easy all because they gave my room to somebody who has more clout.

They must have something in the fine print that gives them the right to change the reservation. Funny, because if I wanted to cancel I'm sure they'd shoot that down.
