ryfry Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 Started at $75 and have gone up to $105 so far with no luck. I'm bidding higher than the median price on PRICELINE it would seem. Just wondering if anyone has any helpful information for those two nights!

thereuare Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 I'm bidding higher than the median price on PRICELINE it would seem. What are you using as the median price... previous wins posted the board OR the median price listed by PRICELINE? When selecting 3.5* or 4* and USE and USW on the bidding page i'm showing PRICELINE's median rate to be listed as $216 for a 3.5* and $219 for a 4*. I've often found this number to be meaningless so i wouldn't use it to determine a bidding strategy, but just trying to understand your reference above.Am i correct that your $105 bid above was for a 3.5* or higher hotel in either zone? Are you willing to pay more for a 4* vs. a 3.5* OR is your goal the least expensive 3.5* or better for this stay? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
