katiespann4 Posted July 20, 2010 Report Posted July 20, 2010 Hello all- I am looking for a nice (either 4 or 5*) hotel for the san diego area. This is my husband and I's 11 year getaway! (since we could not do anything last year) We are going from 9/16-9/19 I want something really nice at the cheepest that I can get it! I have read up some on how to bid and get what you want, so i was comparing the priceline's "bid" and the "regular" way to get a hotel. the areas are different. how do you know what hotel is in what area? The only area that I kind of like all hotels is the downtown area- but then you have to pay for parking-which is expensive...right???? I appreciate all of your help!!!!!!
AaronJB Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)When using PRICELINE's discount bidding service, there is no way to ensure which hotel you may get. If you bid for a 4* in a particular zone, for example, you could possibly get any participating 4* in the zone. The PRICELINE hotels that have been reported to the board in California can be found at this link. Parking is not included and can be expensive at major city properties. Please let us know your desired budget per night for hotel, desired star rating and PRICELINE zones you would like to bid for. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
katiespann4 Posted August 16, 2010 Author Report Posted August 16, 2010 hello all~ My husband and I are going to SF for our anniv in sept. We have never been before have no idea about any of the areas or hotels. He is kind of picky when it comes to hotels....needs to be clean!!!! Any suggestions of areas would be helpful. We are flying and that is taking alot of our budget but i really would like to try not to spend over $120 a night, is that possible? I have never bid priceline before and I was reading how you bid but dont really understand! Thanks for your helpKatie
