Hotwire Hotel: 4* and 4.5* in Dupont Circle-Embassy Row Area

Hi, I'm trying to figure out 2 hotels that I'm looking at in DC, to stay from 9/16-9/20 both in the Dupont Circle, Embassy Row area. The first is a 4.5 star hotel at $129 with amenities of:

Boutique

Fitness

Restaurant

High speed internet

Business Center

Tennis nearby

The second hotel has 4 stars and the price keeps changing, last week it was 159, then 129, and today it is 166. The amenities are:

Restaurant

Fitness

Pool

High Speed internet

Business Center

In your experience does the price go down as you get closer to when you are traveling, or go up?? or does it matter which day of the week you book?

Best guess would be Fairfax at Embassy Row.

This is a match for both Hotel Palomar and Omni Shoreham. So you need to book this with an open mind for both

One other question......a 3* hotel in the Dupont Circle area was added today at 119 per night with amenities of:

Pool

Restaurant

Business Center

Laundry facilities

Do you know which one this is?

I will post what ever I end up deciding to do, thank you for your help!

Sorry, yes, it does have a fitness icon as well.

This matches previous reports of the Holiday Inn Central (1501 Rhode Island Avenue Northwest) so that would be my best guess for this one.

Is there something in particular you're looking for, as this is basically the same price as the 3.5*, 4*, and 4.5* hotel in this same zone... so certainly doesn't seem like the best value in this area.

Yes, you are right, I am looking for the best match which is the 4* hotel, but the price of 172 is still too high, so I will keep checking and see if it goes down. I will let you know what I end up doing, thanks.
