Welcome to BetterBidding!

The property above has not yet been reported to the board, but i think the Extended StayAmerica Hillside looks like a good fit and that would be my best guess for this one.

HOTWIRE will only show one hotel at each star level in each zone (the hotel with the lowest priced room rate is the one shown) and there is nothing you can do to 'make' a certain hotel be offered. You can try to use a different guest combination on your search (ie- 2adults/1chid vs. 2adults/2children vs. 3adults/1child vs. 4adults/0children, etc, etc) as that can sometime bring up different offerings. However, keep in mind that even if you find something cheap enough to get two rooms, there is no assurance that the property will be able, or willing, to accommodate your request for connecting rooms.

What is the purpose of this stay? What i your target budget?

Searching HOTWIRE for 2adults/1child there are plenty of choices within your budget and centrally located "downtown"... 3.5* rated hotels starting at $75/nite and plenty of 4* hotels in your budget as well at ~$100/nite. However, in your first post you inquired about a 2* hotel at $29/nite which was located in the suburbs... so not 100% which direction you're looking to go. Are you more interested in a centrally located hotel close to the activities you're looking to do OR are you looking to save money by staying in the suburbs and commuting into the city?

Just a few notes:

1. No hotels downtown offer free parking, and to ensure a pool, I'd recommend using HOTWIRE and looking for a listing with pool icon.

2. When I look for 2 adults and 1 child for downtown for these dates, I'm seeing a 3.5* in the Mag Mile/Streeterville area w/fitness, restaurant, internet, business and pool for $77 - the price you see may vary slightly. That would likely be the Doubletree, which would be an excellent choice - nice hotel and solid location.

WE have decided to stay out of downtown and commute in to save money so looking for a nice clean place on the cheap can get a 2 star for $29 with kitchenette

anyone think/seen a better deal around?

Thanks

Are you looking for something in particular, or are you just looking for a low rate? In terms of the lowest rate, I don't think you're going to find anything much lower than $29 in the burbs.
