After looking over the prior postings, I bid $40 for 2.5* at Denver airport on August 12; bid was rejected. On August 13 I tried again at $45 and bid was accepted. Fees/taxes are $9.05/room.

The best price available to me through the Marriott website was the AAA rate of $89 plus $13.22 fees/taxes.

I accessed PRICELINE via the button on betterbidding.com.

This really is a valuable website!
