I tried Civic Center, Financial District, USW, USE, Fisherman's Wharf, Marina, and SOMA...basically all the areas in the northern section of the priceline map.I bid 80 and up 100. All were rejected. I don't really care about the area so much as staying at the nicest possible hotel. I would like to get it for under $100, but $125/night is my maximum. Any suggestions? slruud Posted August 14, 2010 Report Share Posted August 14, 2010 Have you checked rates for your dates at any of the 3/4* hotels in the zones you are looking at?A quick look at HOTWIRE show rates fairly high for 4* hotels, but they do have a 3* in USE for $109/nite and also a 3* in Nob Hill for $112. You could try bidding at 30% or so less for 3*, but you might want to try 4* bidding first bidding up to your max.Good luck. Link to comment
