Gallus50
I've stayed at Sands Ocean Dunes and it is kind of yucky. I can't recommend it. That being said, according to the hotel list here, it is a 2.5* and Kingston Plantation is 3*. So you should be safe. The only problem w/bidding 3* in MB is that the hotel that comes up most frequently is the Sheraton Convention Center. I don't know where exactly it is, but I'm pretty sure its nowhere near the beach. September shouldn't be too busy. I think HW is a better choice, or even booking conventionally, if you shop around. You may be able to get beachfront for a reasonable price, and with PL you have no choice. That's just IMHO.... Link to comment
I love to Priceline
Thanks for the reply the Sheraton is in different zone and we've stayed their numerous times. Its a nice hotel for the priceline price and rather easy walk to the beachWe just wanted something different and we've stayed at Kingston before and thats our favorite area in Myrtle Beach Link to comment
thereuare
It appears HOTWIRE has changed the zones...I assume you mean PRICELINE? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
Gallus50
You can target Kingston Planatation, even each section specifically, through HOTWIRE. You can also check out BEAV's thread in Off Topic/Run of House section. Last minute travel has an opaque product and there is a way to specifically ID each and every listing. If there's a good price on LMT, you can ID and feel really confident to buy. It's a great method... Link to comment
