Priceline Hotel: Bidding Strategy Help -- 8/18-8/19 or 8/19-8/22

Help!!! We are going out to NYC, would like a hotel in MTE, MTW, Central Park South, Times Square, really anywhere close to the action and a 4*

Have tried pretty much every combination with free re-bids up to $190 for both time frames and no luck :)

I don't know what else to try, any suggestions?

With HOTWIRE showing a 4* for $219 in Midtown Central (and 4*'s otherwise generally at $230-250), I don't think you're *too* far off from a possible win for 8/18-20. What would be your desired max budget per night? Would you be interested in any other zones?

As well, would the Empire State Building zone also work for your plans? Would you want to include this in your bidding? Also, when you bid previously up to $190, did you bid specifically for the dates 8/18-8/20? (as this seems to be a new date combination from what you previously posted)
