markandglo Posted August 13, 2010 Report Posted August 13, 2010 Just booked this for checkin tomorrow! (8/13 - 8/15) started with $70 - denied. Site said to up price $15 to $85 and we could try again right away. Did that and got accepted. Ended up with La Quinta Resort And Club. My wife has been there and said it's nice and it has nice reviews on tripadvisor. No resort fee so we ended getting it for just over $100/night! Not bad! Oh and I used your PRICELINE link.

sogood007 Posted August 13, 2010 Report Posted August 13, 2010 I was looking for the same area and same date (what I coincident) and happy to see this post. I was a little bit cheap and tried to bid $80. They reject me and suggest for $95. I reluctantly bid with $95 and obviously the offer accepted. I should have just do start with $70 and add it up $15 later. Will see whether I bump into you in the resort. Thanks for you post . I also use the PRICELINE link

sogood007 Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 I came back from the stay and I got the resort fee billed when I checked out. Is that normal? The hotel is great but the weather is hotter than I like.
thereuare Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 Yes, resort fees would be payable directly to the hotel. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
