Priceline Hotel: 4* Denver (Westminster-Broomfield) Renaissance

Started in the high $50's, jumped to mid $60's. Added West Denver and Southwest Lakewood 4*, Went down to $53 for a 3.5* - no takers, went back to 4* at $69, thought I had too many days. Started with fewer days and adding by $1. Ended at $73 for all 5 nights. Priceline never countered my offers, just accepted my $73 bid. Only a king bed available for my dates, maybe mid reservation they will move me to 2 queens.

Very nice deal for this Renaissance property. If you do need two beds, I'd highly recommend writing the hotel in advance to try to request 2 beds.

Renaissance has only 7 double queens and was NOT going to move us to one of them unless we paid $150+ per night. Understandable but unaccommodating. All other comments are minor but unexpected for a 4 star. Not very welcoming when checking in. No one waiting but seemed to want to just shuffle us along to our room. No explanation of what the hotel offers. Very clean room though except for 1 of 5 nights, the room was not completely redone from housecleaning. One day they never showed up. Skeleton crew. (4 star shouldn't cut corners) Nice suite 1 king rooms with an acceptable but not-the-most comfortable sofa bed. Not opaque windows/drapes leading from bedroom to the rest of suite, pretty but useless when trying not to disturb sleepers in the bedroom at night when watching tv. Refrig was a plus since breakfast was normal expensive hotel cuisine. Wedding on Sat w/ bass booming until midnight, we were down the hall and all was quite but couldn't imagine if our room was over the ballroom on that night. Front desk: questions answered and problems solved without any hassle (still upset about not getting a 2 queen room when they may have been available-that's what you get with priceline and a deal)
