Can you give me an idea where a 3 1/2 star in FLL beach area might be?

Also if I wanted to be near beach; fun for two ladies, water taxi ; is this the area for me?

Please help identifying 2 star Fort Lauderdale beach

2 star that has resort, beachfront, pool, restaurant, business center and laundry facilities.

Also do you recommend waiting if I'm looking for three rooms for Feb. 26 - March 1. I know the big wine festival is in town that weekend so thougth I should be booking now. Your suggestions are appreciated.

I belive that this is the Ocean Manor Beach Resort. And belive me, you don't want to stay there.

Take my advice and go for the 3.5* hotel in this zone. I have been going to Fort Lauderdale for 15 years. And you get what you pay for. All lower rated hotels on HOTWIRE are bad. If you want to gamble so go with PRICELINE and bid 3*+ only.

If there is a big festival in town, I'd start at least trying now. What would be your desired max budget per night?

Max for 3 1/2 star or better would be $100 plus tax. Do you think I'll have any luck? Start now or wait till closer?
