Priceline Hotel: Bidding recommendations Union Square 10/15-10/18

Hello!

I have reviewed some areas of this board (including re-bidding process) and need some help. I would like to stay as close as possible to Union Square in SF since I am running a marathon that begins there. I would like to arrive on October 15th and can stay until either the 17th or 18th so either a two night stay or three night stay.

I researched the hotels listed on the map (although I read somewhere on the board that name your price hotels are not the same as retail hotels?):

Union Square East found only one: Grant Plaza, two stars.

Union Square West showed:

Mark Hopkins, four stars

Andrews Hotel, two stars

Parc 55, four stars

Hotel Nikko, four stars

Hilton SF, four stars

Union Square Plaza, one star

SOMA/Moscone:

Courtyard SF, three stars

Westin St. Francis, four stars

What should be my next steps to getting a hotel in SF by Union Square at a great price?

BTW I have a $60 bonus cash coupon from a previous Name your Price transaction (basically I got ripped off on that one so I'm asking for help on this one).

It's correct that the retail section on PRICELINE is not the same as the bidding service. So you should not use the regular booking service to determ zones and hotels.

My budget is $150 per night. I am willing to stay in Union Square East or Union Square West (Zone 10 or 11). I would like to stay in a three star hotel or better. Thanks!
