runmarathons Posted August 11, 2010 Report Posted August 11, 2010 Hello!I have reviewed some areas of this board (including re-bidding process) and need some help. I would like to stay as close as possible to Union Square in SF since I am running a marathon that begins there. I would like to arrive on October 15th and can stay until either the 17th or 18th so either a two night stay or three night stay.I researched the hotels listed on the map (although I read somewhere on the board that name your price hotels are not the same as retail hotels?): Union Square East found only one: Grant Plaza, two stars.Union Square West showed:Mark Hopkins, four starsAndrews Hotel, two starsParc 55, four starsHotel Nikko, four starsHilton SF, four starsUnion Square Plaza, one star SOMA/Moscone:Courtyard SF, three starsWestin St. Francis, four starsWhat should be my next steps to getting a hotel in SF by Union Square at a great price?BTW I have a $60 bonus cash coupon from a previous Name your Price transaction (basically I got ripped off on that one so I'm asking for help on this one).THANKS!
yellowdog Posted August 12, 2010 Report Posted August 12, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding :) It's correct that the retail section on PRICELINE is not the same as the bidding service. So you should not use the regular booking service to determ zones and hotels. Please use this link to see reported SF hotels: Priceline SF HotelsIf you would like to get help with a bidding strategy so please post your budget/night, zone(s) you're willing to stay in and the rating for the hotel.Let us know how we can help you further. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Yellowdog.
