Priceline Hotel: planning trip

Hi there would like some help new to this site. I am planning a road trip and not sure how this hotel stiuff works. I am looking for Hotel on Aug 19th at Niagra Falls Canada side near falls. Then on Aug 20-22 would like to stay in Grovecity PA or near that area. So how does one go about bidding on hotles and what hotel we can get etc. Am sort of picky and want nice hotels. I could also stay in Say Aug 19th in Kingston area then Aug 20-22 say in New Hanshire or Vermount area whichever is better for sight seeing and shopping thanks.

I sounds like HOTWIRE would be the better option for you. If you're trying to target a specific property then HOTWIRE can often be a better option if you're successfully able to identify it based upon the star rating and amenities shown before your purchase... the trade-off is that HOTWIRE usually costs a little more than PRICELINE, so you need to decide what is most important to you for a given stay, the lowest possible price OR the ability to take an educated guess as to the property you may receive.

We'll use this thread for your 19th stay and start with that. Please start a separate topic for the second leg of the stay.

Hi there okay thanks for that . I changed my area now going to Erie PA on either Aug 19-Aug22 hear shopping is nice there. I don't really care on which hotel it is as long as it is nice place and good rating so priceline will do what si good bidding price to start on a or star in Erie PA area thanks.

Okay thanks wil be staying in Erie PA from Aug19-Aug22 and would like to stay in a 2.5 star or 3 star place but don't see any 3 star in name your own price. My budget is $75 what names of hotels would this be and think this would be fair price.

The highest rated hotel in this area is 2.5*... you can see the hotels reported to the board in this zone in the Priceline Hotel List, but keep in mind the comments at the top of the hotel list that these are only hotels reported to the board and you could receive something else not yet known.

You don't have any re-bid zone available so not too much of a strategy, but i'd start at $50 and increase by $5 every 24 hours.

Thanks okay can you tell me can you bid more than once in 24hrs without changing anything would still like a 2.5 hotle in Erie area bid of $70 rejected want to bid again but have to change something dont want to.
