hsuyi Posted August 11, 2010 Report Posted August 11, 2010 I want to get 1 room for 2 people in a 4* hotel, in Amsterdam City Centre and Museum Quarter. My maximum bidding amount is $85. I would appreciate some advice. Thanks!
BacSi Posted August 11, 2010 Report Posted August 11, 2010 Bid lower?Seriously we have seen a few bad dates for the fall. Dates where good deals seem to be hard to find. But for the most apart fall wins seem to be in that $70-$79 range for the most part for a four star. A few very early wins saw some go in that $65-$69 range. But those have been few."IF" your dates are not in one of those bad times then I would expect $70-$79 range for a win.The 3 four stars in play during the past 6-10 months have been the NH Amsterdam Centre, the Movenpick, and the NH Carlton. All good hotels.
hsuyi Posted August 11, 2010 Author Report Posted August 11, 2010 Many thanks for your useful tips. I will go ahead and report my result later.

hsuyi Posted August 13, 2010 Author Report Posted August 13, 2010 Starting from $65, rejected. $70, 75 and 80 were all rejected. Due to some personal time constrain, I had to win the bid today, so I increased the bid amount up to $90. Accepted. I got NH Amsterdam Centre.I used the PRICELINE link on this website. Thanks for all the help.
