Hotwire Hotel: Please Help Identify

:) Hello I am new to this site, but have been reading and following for a month or so...I am travelling February 6/ll leaving from Ft. Lauderdale, and am looking for two nights pre cruise.

I have read all the Hotwire descriptions but have not found anything that matches these amenities at 3.5* Ft. Lauderdale Beach.

Near Beach, No Smoking, exercise, Pool, Restaurant, Business, Internet..BTW do these amenities have to match in the exact order..from the list you provide..

My budget would be 100.00. US, Ideally I would like to be near 17th st. where all the shopping is, so that I could visit a Macy's and total wine. I would love to try the Pier 66, but have read that hotwire and priceline bids end up in the back wing and I would not want that. The other hotel I would like to stay at is the Marriott on 17th, and or embassy suites... I have only visited Ft. Lauderdale once and stayed at the Pelican Grand and loved it...I did by luck get that on Hotwire.

I'm sorry to be so long winded and promise not to be in the future...I do appreciate all the information I have learned from this site...very user friendly...

The amenities don't have to be in the exact order. But the best thing you can do is to post the amenites when you belive that you have found what you're looking for so we can confirm the hotel.

Yes, if you get the Pier 66 would you most likley get the old wing.

So you dates in FL would be 2/4-2/6?

Yes my dates are Feburary 4 check in check out 6th...cruise leaves on the 6th...Thanks..

Best guess would be Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Beach.

Hello..I am currently bidding on priceline from infor found here..but they continue to ask me to check...I am bidding 69.00 for 4* so far for fort lauderdale downtown, airport,beach..travelling from Feb 04/11 to Feb 06/11...1 room. Question does coral gables have a 4* would it be safe to add that with more money..Thanks

I delayed too long and the have closed the window...but this would be good to know in the future? Which areas of Ft. Lauderdale does not have 4 star hotels? thanks.

Do you mean Coral Springs... Coral Gables is part of the Miami region and isn't an option when bidding the Ft Lauderdale zones.

At the 4* level you have SIX re-bid zones, using the techniques discussed in the previous link see if you can determine them. If you read the previous thread and are confused just post back and we'll break it down further for you.

Priceline are asking me to be able to continue with bidding I must check something either lower my stars, or add by check regions..I do not want to be too far away from the cruise terminal,shopping..so which regions can I check safely, and how many stars...Ideally the type of location I would love to get the Renaissance, or Embassy Suites.

RE-Bidding is not terribly difficult, but it does take some time to devote to understanding the concept and how to determine your re-bid zones... why don't you start with that and we'll take it from there.
