gzacharias Posted August 11, 2010 Report Posted August 11, 2010 I'm looking at Boston for 9/3/10 to 9/6/10 and see a 4.5* in the Financial District. I'm thinking it is either the Inter-Continental or the Langham. I put in 3 adults for the room. When I checked Expedia the Langham isn't available for that number of adults in a room (all King and Queen beds.) My question is, if I book this can they give me a room with only 1 bed even though I put 3 adults in the request? Or would that hotel not come up since I put 3 adults? I'm happy with either hotel but I don't want 1 bed...Thanks!

thereuare Posted August 12, 2010 Report Posted August 12, 2010 My question is, if I book this can they give me a room with only 1 bed even though I put 3 adults in the request?I agree that this should land you a room with 2 beds, HOWEVER, in a recent email exchange with HOTWIRE a user reported that HOTWIRE's stance is that "industry practice is that a King bed accommodates three people". I'm not sure how true this is, and this is the first time i have heard HOTWIRE make this statement, so it's something to be aware of and which we need to see if the issue comes up again. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
