mcremata Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 I've been bidding on French Quarter & Downtown. Starting at $50 and increasing to $140 and so far no luck. Hotwire appears to have Le Pavillon for $179. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.
mcremata Posted August 10, 2010 Author Report Posted August 10, 2010 4.5* New Orleans Downtown 10/29-11/1this looks like le pavillon to me. do you agree?

California83 Posted August 11, 2010 Report Posted August 11, 2010 Have you only been bidding on 4* hotels or lower star levels as well? I'm just curious.I'm looking for something the weekend before (sat 23. - mon 25.oct), but HOTWIRE prices seems high, and I've had no luck with PRICELINE yet (I've only been bidding up to $60 all levels, I know it's low but I fugure it's 2mo in advance so I have time to do some really low bids before I start bidding 3-figure numbers). I do get slightly worried when you say you've bid up to 150 with no luck though.
mcremata Posted August 11, 2010 Author Report Posted August 11, 2010 i bid exclusively 4* in french quarter and downtown. i went to $140 and nothing. a friend though did it yesterday and at $140 got the JW Marriott for $140 for the same dates. i don't want that hotel if i can avoid it, so i'm leaning towards the le pavillon for $179, which is more than i'd like to have to spend. re the amenities for identifying the hotwire property, for the dates 10/29 - 11/1, 4.5* downtown, fitness, pool, internet, restaurant, business center. do you agree it's le pavillon?
yellowdog Posted August 11, 2010 Report Posted August 11, 2010 mcremataBest guess would be Le Pavillon. Please use the site's HOTWIRE link, and let us know how it goes or if you need any additional help with your stay.Yellowdog.PS. swag Posted August 11, 2010 Report Posted August 11, 2010 Halloween is always a big weekend in New Orleans, and even more so when it falls on a weekend. Plus, you have the Voodoo music festival, Widespread Panic playing 3 nights at the UNO Arena, and a Saints home game. It's no surprise prices are high.
