dans0202 Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 I am looking for a hotel near the Detroit airport for a 1 night stayI am comming up with a 4 1/ 2 star for in the $80 range with hotwire. Is it the Airport Westin? How sure should I be?Sorry I am new at this, should I use priceline or hotwire? And finally does Hotwire permit Canadian bids. I understand that with Priceline people often use modified addresses and Mastercards and have sucess. Thanks in advance for any advice
thereuare Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 Welcome to BetterBidding! Please go back to HOTWIRE and provide all the amenities that area associated with this hotel. thereuare Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 This is indeed a match for the Westin, and although highly llikley, you can't be 100% certain as there could be other hotels with the same exact star rating and amenities that we don't yet know about (but i think your chances are very good).Priceline would likey be a bit cheaper, but then you can get any 4* hotel in the zone... an 'ok' idea if you're not particular about where you'll be staying, not a good idea if you're really trying to target the Westin. If you go with Hotwire please use THIS LINK to begin your purchase; if you'd rather try Priceline let us know and we'll suggest a strategy to follow.Let us know whatever you decide to do. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
dans0202 Posted March 15, 2005 Author Report Posted March 15, 2005 Thank youIf I end up booking my trip through Detroit I will use your link and let you know how it goesThanks again
elliscm Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 Good deal! That hotel is coming up for me as $156 for my dates (1 night 5/18.) I can get the government rate for cheaper which will also get me credited with Starpoints from Starwood Preferred Guest.
dans0202 Posted March 10, 2007 Author Report Posted March 10, 2007 Sorry about never responding to my initial questionUnfortionately our plans fell through
