lsnhc Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 We will be in NYC on 8/11 and 8/12 and will be traveling with our 16 yr old. First, even though it asked for childrens' ages up through 17, would I be better off putting in 3 adults to ensure that we have ample room?Secondly, 2 - 3* properties come up:Times Sq-Theatre District $169. Amenities are:Smoke Free RoomsRestaurant(s)Business CenterHigh-speed Internet Access4* Trip Advisor3* MSG-Chelsea $199 Amenities are:Complimentary BreakfastSmoke Free RoomsFitness CenterHigh-speed Internet Access4* Trip AdvisorAny thoughts on either (or both) of these properties?
AaronJB Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 Please post a follow-up for your prior Fort Lauderdale Hotwire thread (post in that thread what you decided for that stay), then reply to this thread and we would be happy to look into the above listings.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
thereuare Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 Can you please add the amount of your winning bid to the Priceline Ft Lauderdale thread so we can add this information to the topic title. The 3* Time Square property matches previous reports for the Belvedere so that would be my best guess for this one.I'm not currently seeing the 3* MSG property when searching HOTWIRE for your dates (i tried both 2adult/1child and 3adults/0children).I don't think the room assignment will be based upon whether you book as 2a/1c or 3adults... likely viewed as triple occupancy by the front desk clerk either way. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
lsnhc Posted July 22, 2010 Author Report Posted July 22, 2010 The 3* MSG was there today (7/22) at 4:00 p.m. I searched using 2 adults and 1 child.

thereuare Posted July 23, 2010 Report Posted July 23, 2010 This property is a match for previous reports of the Holiday Inn Express Madison Square Garden so that would be my best guess. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. lsnhc Posted August 9, 2010 Author Report Posted August 9, 2010 I played around with pretty much every conceivable combination of stars/zones, etc., and came up with a genuine home run: Wed. 8/11 - Thurs 8/12 4* Royalton $175.00 This has to be one of the best deals I have ever gotten on either Priceline or Hotwire. Price on website was $429.00.Booked through link above!
lsnhc Posted August 9, 2010 Author Report Posted August 9, 2010 I'm closing this thread. See new posting re: 8/11 - 8/12.We eliminated the child and everything changed!
