Hello to all...new to the forum, and excited to be here.

We're planning a Disney vacation in Anaheim from 9/4 through 9/11. I've read the Getting Started Thread and understand the rebid zones and such. I plan to begin bidding here in a few weeks (starting at 6 weeks out, and then getting more serious at 4 weeks).

My primary question is on the actual bid itself. Given that my first two days are part of a holiday weekend, do you think I'm going to get "stuck" with a higher daily rate for the entire trip length? In other words, would I be better off bidding for a hotel on the 4th and 5th, and then a separate bid for the 6th through the 11th? I know that could mean a hotel change (not excited), but I also don't want to end up paying $80+ every night for the whole week in a 3.5 star.

Thoughts?

Welcome to BetterBidding :)

I took a look at the rates for your complete stay and it don't looks like you will get stuck with a higher daily rate for the entire trip if you're willing to bid in both Disney zones. Atleast start with bidding for your complete stay. But i can't see any point in waiting with your bidding since your stay include holiday dates and your stay is one week long.

If you would like to get help with a bidding strategy so please post your budget/night, zone(s) you're willing to stay in and the star rating for the hotel.

I'd like to end up in the Disneyland North or South Zones, 3.5 star for the 4th through the 11th.

Ideally, I'd like to end up with the Crowne, the Hilton, or the Doubletree for around $65. I've seen that happen in the past, but very little is booked out on my current dates. My current plan is to wait until about 6 weeks out, then start around $50 and work my way up to $65. if I'm unsuccessful, I'll wait a few days and repeat the same process. If we get to 4 weeks and haven't got an accepted bid, then I'd consider raising the max bid. I would prefer not to try to expand out past the disney area.

At the 3.5* level you have FOUR re-bid zones so you could bid from $50 up to $65 all in one bidding session should you choose to do so. If you're not familiar with re-bidding see this thread: Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and it's highly recommended you ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.

Let us know once you're ready to begin bidding and we'll take it from there.

9/4-9/11 @ $64/night.

Suite, Complimentary Breakfast, Fitness Center, Restaurant, Pool, Biz Center.

(100% Customer Recomended)

I was orginally looking for Something closer to Disney, but for the extra few minutes in the car, I'll take the free parking, two rooms, and made-to-order breakfast...

Thanks!

Congratulations on your success!

Hope you're happy with the results and this was the property you were hoping for.

There are two Embassy Suite properties in this zone, can you confirm that this is the Embassy Suties North at 3100 E Frontera?

Thank you for sharing your results and using the HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchase.
