JohnMan Posted August 8, 2010 Report Posted August 8, 2010 Amenities:Fitness Pool RestaurantPlaying with the dates and number of guests, I see there are 2 primary hotels one with a 90% rating and one with a 95% rating.I'm assuming one of them is Four Points meadowvale, and the other one is the holiday inn on sheridan.Could anyone shed some light please?Does the recommendation rating matter?

JohnMan Posted August 9, 2010 Author Report Posted August 9, 2010 bumpSorry the dates are: August 15th to August 21st. 6 nights.Thank you.
thereuare Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 The percent recommended shown by HOTWIRE is more of a range then a specific figure, as they tend to fluctuate this number for the same hotel from search to search. Both the Four Points and the Holiday Inn have the amenities above so there is no way to determine which one is more likely then the other, however...If you change your search to 4adults/0children a 'new' 3* hotel appears in this zone for the same price with:Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Internet, Business, a Tripadvisor rating of 3.0/5.0, and the following satisfication criteria:Condition 4.0, Service 4.0, Comfort 4.0, Clean 4.0, Location 4.0The TA rating for this one is a match for the Holiday Inn so that would be my best guess or this one, and if you're trying to target this property you would be best to purchase as 4adults/0children.NOTE on your 2adult search the satisfaction criteria is the same except for the location, which is 4.5 on the 2adult search, which would lead me to believe that the 2adult search property is the Four Points. HOWEVER, this is 100% certain as the total reviews have changed, and i'm not sure if HOTWIRE is using a different number of reviews from one search to the next for the same hotel in order to increase the opacity... so my guess is that the 2adult seach is the Four Points while the 4adult search is the Holiday Inn.If you are trying to target one over the other let us know and i can see if there is a way to test the waters further to try to target the one you're hoping for. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. marc15 Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 Just checking my bids as of 7/8 trying to book for 8/22-26 ---Price for 3 star on Price is $48/$49 today I know becaue I bid $38 and was asked for $10 more. In the last 3 years same trip I 3* I got the 4 pts Sheridan 2007, 2008 (Old Radisson-name changed) or the Marriott Courtyard 2009----I liked both--no parking fees-clean-pool---4Pts had a reasonably priced resturant--strange for a hotel.4 star $69 should be the right price on P.L. whether for Mississauga or not I don't know I went a wider area---lookout for extra fees if you book a 4 star in Toronto--thats why I book 3*'s--Take note any downtown hotel will come with parking extra $12-$25 day Hope this helps you some
