Priceline Hotel: Staying in Beverly Hills, Ca or Santa Monica, Ca from 8/20 to 8/22

I want to stay either in Beverly Hills, CA or Santa Monica, CA from August 20 to August 22nd, please advise how much should I bid in Priceline? What hotel do I get with the winning bid? I really want to end either at Marriot Residence Inn in Beverly Hills or Somewhere walking distance of the Water in Santa Monica. Thank you very much for your help.

You can't bid on a specific hotel when using PRICELINE. You need to be willing to stay at any ?* or higher in the zone you're bidding at.

If you're trying to target a specific property then HOTWIRE can often be a better option if you're successfully able to identify it based upon the star rating and amenities shown before your purchase... the trade-off is that HOTWIRE usually costs a little more than PRICELINE, so you need to decide what is most important to you for a given stay, the lowest possible price OR the ability to take an educated guess as to the property you may receive.

If you still want to go with PRICELINE ans would like to get help with a bidding strategy so please post your budget/night, zone(s) you're willing to stay in and the rating for the hotel.
