Duds Posted August 8, 2010 Author Report Posted August 8, 2010 Hello, tks for being so fast...Well, I would like to stay at MTW, Time Square ou MSG areaI don't have a star preference, so I am looking from 2.5 till 3.5 star.I saw a few winning bids from 98 bucks a night...I tryed 100, 105, 110...no luck!!!!any sugestions? Thanks a lot!
thereuare Posted August 8, 2010 Report Posted August 8, 2010 At what star rating and for how high have you already bid? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
AaronJB Posted August 8, 2010 Report Posted August 8, 2010 Unfortunately, I think it's going to take a higher bid to win a hotel in Midtown for these dates - possibly at least $135-150 on average, with the September portion of the stay appearing more expensive than the late August portion. Are you interested in any other zones, or just MSG/MTW/TS?Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
Duds Posted August 8, 2010 Author Report Posted August 8, 2010 I would stay at ESB or MTE also...I have alread bid 2.5 stars till 100 and for 3 and up till 115 and nothing. I haven't tried at ESB or MTE
thereuare Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 If you're considering splitting your stay give this thread a read to learn some of the pros/cons in doing so: SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BIDIf you want to continue with bidding the nites as a complete stay, as noted above, i suspect you'll likely need to increase your maximum bid. What is your maximum bid? What is the best rate you're able to find at a suitable hotel thru conventional booking channels?Lastly, if you're able, i'd suggest trying to stick with 3* and higher hotels in NYC... while there may be some 2.5* hotels you're comfortable with, there may be others which you are not, and with PRICELINE / HOTWIRE you can't choose which type you will get. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Duds Posted September 3, 2010 Author Report Posted September 3, 2010 Didn't book anything!!! A friend invited me for his house...
