Priceline Hotel: 4* Montreal DT 3 room 8/14 - 8/15 @ $105 - FAILED!?! conf

I have been trying to book three rooms in DT Montreal 4* for 8/14-15. For the last week or so, I ve been submitting 4 bids every 24 hours by adding surrounding regions (with no 4* hotels in reality). I have been gradualling increasing the top bid from 85 to 87 to 95 ... all the way to $105 today and still failed.

I am really confused since there are posters with successful bid of $85 for the very same day.

Others may be getting deals for the same time period, but if this day is problematic due to a convention or other event, prices for this specific date may be more expensive. What would be your desired budget per room for the night? Are you seeing any options of interest on HOTWIRE?

tried again and went all the way to $115 and still no luck. I am getting desperate now... :)

I'm seeing a 4* on HOTWIRE in Downtown Montreal for $139; you may be successful at the 4* level for $120-125, or you could try to see if a 3.5* will accept at lower levels.

Thanks for the suggestion. There is a $143 four-star on hotwire today, but unfortunately I still failed to get anything for upto $125. Will try again tmr and see...
