Priceline Hotel: 3.5* NYC (Downtown-Soho-Financial District) World Center Hotel

We are looking for a bidding strategy for 3* (or better) hotels in NYC with access to the subway or PATH for no more than $160 for 09/08/10-09/12/2010. Thanks so much.

There is no way to guarantee a hotel right near subway; some hotels (MTE's 3.5* Millennium UN for example) are a longer walk and not as centrally located. Which zones would you be interested in bidding for?

We are totally fine with walking up to a mile or two so it looks like all of the zones except for the Brooklyn area would work. Thanks so much.

Please list the zones, by PRICELINE name, that you're willing accept.

You may be able to get a 3* directly on Manhattan for your budget, do you want to try for this first OR are you looking for the least expensive 3* or better for this stay? If the former, and you are not successful at a 3* in Manahttan, do you then want the highest rated hotel your budget can afford OR the least expensive 3* or better in any of your acceptable zones?

I would prefer to start off with the least expensive 3* or better in all zones in NYC except for Brooklyn and Coney Island. Thank you.

I tried 3* at $120 for all of the following Central Park South, Chelsea Area, Downtown - SoHo - Financial District, Empire State Building Area, Hell's Kitchen, Madison Square Garden - Convention Area, Midtown East, Midtown West, Times Square - Theatre District, Upper East Side and Upper West Side. If you could help with a bidding strategy for these areas, that would be great.

Long Island City hotels would be fine if none of the above work as it seems most are close to the subway. Thanks.

I split up my trip to 09/08-09/10 and kept trying at the 3* level up to $150 and was actually upgraded to 3-1/2* when I added the downtown area. We won the World Center Hotel at $150 for those dates. We could not extend the trip. Might you be able to help with a bidding strategy for 09/10-09/12, same areas as above. Thanks for your help.
