sdfderrick Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 Hello!I am new to priceline and could use any guidance you may be able to offer. Here's the breakdown:I will be coming to NYC with two others Sept 9-12th to watch the US Open Finals in Flushing. Ideally, we'd like to stay in NYC in a decent part of town. I've only been once before so I don't know the areas too well so I can't really say what zones I want to stay in... just safe areas. We'd like 3-4 stars and are hoping not to pay more than 500 for the three nights... IF it's a lot cheaper to stay in Flushing we might consider that if the hotel was nice, and just commute to NYC. That may be smarter since we won't be at the hotel too long, but we'd like it to be nice. I'm sure Flushing hotels may be busy though since the US Open is going to be going on.Please advise. Thanks so much!
thereuare Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding! Please start by reading your messagesNext, given you're triple occupancy, which is often hard to book at a discount in NYC, i think your budget is going to be tough. As well, HOTWIRE is your only real option (ie- PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy, which means you could get a room with only one bed) where as HOTWIRE will allow you to search for up to quad occupancy, ensuring bedding for all three of you. What is the best rate you're able to find thru conventional booking channels? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
