Priceline Hotel: 2.5* Albany (Downtown) Crowne Plaza Albany

Started using the PRICELINE link. Miscalculated attempting to book Albany for upcoming Friday night stay.

Saw recent wins at 72 for three star. Started at $55 and kept adding zones until I reached $70. Still no win.

Lowered to 2.5 stars and bid $72, did not believe there were 2.5 hotels available, but alas I found one. :)

Sorry to hear you received a hotel at a star rating you didn't expect.

You shouldn't/can't use the hotel lists to determine what hotels are available at a certain level (see the comments at the top of the priceline hotel list)... if PRICELINE offers bidding at a specific star level it should be assumed that they offer hotels at that rating in the zone.

At least this is still a nice discount vs. a conventionally booked room at this property.
