thanks to this site, i got the Marriot Renaissance Downtown in St Pete FL for my first bid of $48. $61 after taxes & fees. the cheapest price on the hotel's website is $149. the reveiws are wonderful, the only negative ones are some people saying its too expensive but would be great for like $120 per night. hahahaha...wonder how they would feel about $48!? :)

Certainly a terrific rate for this property!

In terms of reviews in general, it's really price and people's expectations - I've stayed at a number of properties that I thought were terrific at PRICELINE rates, but I'd feel very differently had I paid full rate.
