Quite a good deal for this property. I'd recommend Barnaby's across the street - while not the world's best pizza, it's pretty good and has been an institution in the area for probably around 30-40 years. There's also a Trader Joe's for groceries about 3-4 minutes drive North of the hotel on Skokie Blvd. in a mall. The back walk-in entrance of the Chicago Botanic Garden is also a not terrible walk away, on Dundee, just on the other side of the expressway and a few steps further. The drive-in entrance is on Lake Cook on the other side of the Gardens and costs $20, but if you can get over to the walk-in, it's free.
