CJ79 Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 Looking to get a hotel the 22nd-24th in the Upper East Side (because our friends live there) however, we are open to other suggestions for areas. Cost is the most important (and safety). We are looking for a 3* or better. I have tried most of the areas around the upper east side (stopped at the theatre district) and said 3* $115 with no luck. Any suggestions? Thanks!Carrie

CJ79 Posted August 8, 2010 Author Report Posted August 8, 2010 The last bid I tried was $140/night for MTE and Upper East. I didn't get it. I did 3*. I don't exactly have a max since we need to get a place.... however, I was hoping to spend less than the $140/night which actually comes to about $350 total for two nights.... I am willing to be flexible on location if that would help... but if I could go $10-15 higher and get those areas, that would be great too. Thanks!
thereuare Posted August 8, 2010 Report Posted August 8, 2010 Based upon current prices i wouldn't expect your budget to be enough, but since you have a preference for this area why not increase up to your maximum for these two zones and then try adding other zones which may be slightly less convenient for your plans? HOWEVER, i would also consider adding the ESB zone now, along with your MTE and UES bidding, since this zone would also likely land you close to the 4-5-6 trains which would give you an easy trip up to the UES area.Let us know if you want to include this, or others, zone(s) on your current bidding and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
