Oceans Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 How do people get rates below $100? How much should I increase it up to? Please help. Thanks.I need the hotel to be in Downtown-Pike Place or Seattle Center as I have no car.
AaronJB Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Rates do vary - sometimes quite significantly - from day-to-day, and these may be busier (and more expensive) dates. What would be your desired budget per night for these dates?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
Oceans Posted August 5, 2010 Author Report Posted August 5, 2010 My desired budget really would be only $100 (125 with the taxes) so I can do a tiny bit of touring before my Alaskan cruise. Beyond that, I don't care about staying a night to visit, since with the airfare difference for flying in a day earlier, it comes out to a $175 difference for staying a day in Seattle
thereuare Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 Based upon current rates you're might be successful for a 3* hotel in the Downtown area... or you could look at staying by the Airport and taking the new LightRail into Downtown for the day. The airport would be less convenient, but certainly cheaper. With a month before your stay you could hold out and hope for lower rates, but at least begin to think about/consider the airport option. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Oceans Posted August 5, 2010 Author Report Posted August 5, 2010 I have just booked my airfare and have decided to skip the overnight stay in Seattle. Will use the $175 difference and spend it on excursions. Thank you :)
AaronJB Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 Thank you for closing the thread. Sorry to hear that the hotel stay didn't work out, but enjoy your cruise and we look forward to helping with future trips. :)
