BigD_NC Posted August 4, 2010 Report Posted August 4, 2010 First post here, but wanted to contribute because I used the board to get information to plan my stay.I bid $50 ($40 plus $10 Entertainment Book coupon) for August 15 & 16. Total charge to my credit card with taxes and fees ($23.80) was $103.80. The cheapest room on the Sheraton website books at $149/night. Great savings indeed.Quick question though...I understand that at Sheraton you can upgrage to the Concierge floor which includes breakfast. Has anyone had luck upgrading with a priceline bid or is this only reserved for people who book directly with Sheraton? Thanks!
thereuare Posted August 4, 2010 Report Posted August 4, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding!Congratulations on your success and thank you for sharing your results with the board. I don't know the specifics regarding upgrades at this property, but if you're referring to paying for an upgrade, i suspect the Sheraton will allow you to pay for an upgrade... if you're thinking of a complimentary upgrade i'd say it's less likely. We're glad the information here was helpful with your purchase, please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
BigD_NC Posted August 5, 2010 Author Report Posted August 5, 2010 Oh yes, I meant pay for an upgrade. I was just wondering if anyone went that route, or were just happy with what they had. Thanks!
AaronJB Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 If the hotel allowed you to pay for an upgrade, expect to probably pay the difference between a regular rate basic room and the upgraded concierge floor.
BigD_NC Posted August 5, 2010 Author Report Posted August 5, 2010 Ahh OK. I don't want breakfast that bad!!!Thank you.
