tcheng Posted August 3, 2010 Report Posted August 3, 2010 Hi... I need advice for last minute bidding for the Madison Sq Garden Convention Area. I just want to stay in a 3 stars or above for a maximum of $125 a night. I am hoping this is possible, if not ,going 2.5 star is my last preference. I have been trying to bid from $95-130 and I havent been having the greatest luck. I want a private bathroom...and perferably somewhere close to the Penn Station (but i know bidding is for random places...)Any tips or bidding strategies? Is there a time that is best for bidding? I am located in EST.Thanks in advance!TC
thereuare Posted August 4, 2010 Report Posted August 4, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding! If i understand your post correctly you have already bid up to $130? If so there isn't much more you can do other then:-increase your maximum bid-lower your star rating-add other zones-wait it out and try againHowever, is MSG the only zone you're bidding? Can i ask why you need to only be in this zone? NYC is so compact and mass transit relatively affordable and easily accessible that i would think you could find another nearby zone to suit your needs. What is the purpose of this stay and reason for staying only in MSG?Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Thinking about what you said, we decided about opening up to the following zones:MSGTime SquareMTWWe just wanted to stay somewhere between Penn Station to Time Square or anyplace around Time Square...just so that everything is right in front of us...The only thing that we want is a private bathroom. So what star rating would be best to be bidding at?-Tina
