wpgnewfy Posted August 3, 2010 Report Posted August 3, 2010 I see lots of winning bids under $70 for a 4* hotel downtown but I've bid $100 and haven't been successful. Any tips? I've also bid up to $85 for a 3 1/2* but again no luck.

Bob24 Posted August 13, 2010 Report Posted August 13, 2010 It has been my experience that the 4 star is the Hyatt Regency. Not a bad property actually. The 3 and a half star that seems to be won most often is the Millenium. That place is a dump. I won it before for $41 and felt like I paid about $31 too much.

As much as I love downtown I would recommend that you look for a room in the south suburbs and take the train to the game you are most likely coming to Minneapolis for. In priceline zone 2

travelbunny Posted August 30, 2010 Report Posted August 30, 2010 I just stayed in the Sheraton Bloomington last weekend. Booked through HOTWIRE for $52/night. I see someone on here recently booked it for your dates for $45. It's a 3.5 star in Bloomington West and right next to the Sofitel. I have stayed there many times and we really enjoy it. Pool is clean but nothing pretty to look at, but we don't use it anyway.
